Keith Baptist brings more than five decades of experience in mining finance and executive leadership. He began his career in 1970 with Inco Canada (now Vale) and has since held senior roles across global mining operations in Canada, Indonesia, the United Kingdom, Chile, and Ghana. Over the course of his career, Keith has worked with leading international mining companies including Vale, Barrick, Billiton, Resolute, and Newmont, covering both base and precious metals.
Since retiring from full-time executive roles in 2014, Keith has focused on advisory work and community-based initiatives, including involvement in charitable projects across India, Pakistan, Rwanda, and Macedonia. As Chairman of Power Resources International, Keith provides independent oversight, financial discipline, and governance leadership, supporting responsible resource development and long-term value creation.
Ray Power is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Power Resources International, with a background spanning defence communications, mining technology, and operational leadership. He began his professional career in defence communications linked to Royal Air Force Pilot and Flying Scholarships, gaining experience across the Balkans and the Middle East.
Ray later transitioned into the mining sector, establishing a consultancy focused on innovation in mineral beneficiation and metallurgical processes. He has led the design and construction of experimental refining technologies for rare and base metals and oversaw the acquisition of a powder metallurgy research and development business in the United Kingdom. Ray subsequently directed the management buyout of African mining and manufacturing assets, forming Power Resources International. His leadership emphasizes operational delivery, technical innovation, and responsible engagement with host communities.
Dr. Matevz Pavlic serves as Sector Chief for Mining and a Director at Power Resources International, overseeing mining, geotechnical, environmental, and social aspects of the company’s operations. He brings strong technical expertise in mine design, tailings dam construction, environmental monitoring, and operational risk management.
Matevz holds a degree from the University of Ljubljana and completed a PhD in 2016, specializing in artificial intelligence applications in mine modelling and optimization. His work integrates advanced technology with practical mining execution, supporting safer and more efficient project development. With experience across African mining environments, he plays a key role in aligning technical delivery with environmental and social responsibility, while maintaining high operational standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Laurent Dubos is a Director of Power Resources International and is based in Rwanda, providing valuable regional insight and on-the-ground operational perspective. He contributes to board-level governance and strategic oversight, particularly in relation to African operations, regulatory engagement, and stakeholder relations.
Laurent’s experience includes involvement in operational management and regional coordination within emerging market environments, where regulatory, logistical, and community considerations are central to project success. His proximity to operations supports informed board decision-making and practical governance input. As a Director, Laurent supports the company’s commitment to responsible development, transparent engagement with host communities, and the long-term sustainability of its operating assets.
Dr. Paul Cherry is a Director of Power Resources International and is based in Australia. He brings international perspective and governance experience to the Board, supporting strategic oversight, compliance, and risk management across the company’s portfolio.
With a background that includes senior technical and professional experience, Dr. Cherry contributes to board discussions on operational strategy, long-term planning, and governance standards. His role supports disciplined growth and alignment with international best practices in responsible resource development. As part of the Board, he works closely with management to ensure the company operates with transparency, accountability, and a long-term focus on sustainable value creation.
